NATO: 3 troops killed in Afghanistan attack
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- NATO says three of its service members have been killed in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan's south.
The coalition issued a statement Monday saying insurgents attacked a NATO position with a car bomb.
No further details were released.
It wasn't immediately clear where the attack occurred. In keeping with their policy, NATO refused to release the identities of the soldiers, although many British and U.S. soldiers serve in the area.
Taliban insurgents have stepped up attacks in the south and the east of the country in the last month since announcing the start of their spring offensive in early March.
