UNDATED (WHDH) -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is considering eliminating kickoffs.

The league has been trying to protect players, since kickoff returns result in some of the more violent collisions.

The NFL moved kickoffs up five yards in 2011, in hopes of producing more touchbacks.
