BOSTON (WHDH) -- As the Celtics took on the Knicks at TD Garden, the crowd was loud, but TNT broadcaster Marv Albert hinted that it may have been fake!

Well you can imagine those comments have fans fired up!

“New York Marv Albert? What do you expect from a New Yorker? He's full of horse hockey! Are you kidding me? You think someone from New York City is gonna tell the truth about Boston? They're jealous!” said Billy Kelly, a Celtics fan.

“I don't think it’s true at all. I think they were just saying that to get in their head. I think it was a total hoax just to get in their heads so that their game would be off,” said a fan.

But other fans say Marv may be on to something!

“Honestly, I believe it the way they're playing now, you know what I mean? They’re pretty much the Lakers now, the two greatest dynasties are, really, they’re not doing that well which is a shame. This city prides itself on sports,” said David Lydon.

The Celtics quick to quiet this loud storm, sent out a tweet that said:

"Regarding comments on tonight's @nbaontntbroadcast, the @celtics have never used artificial crowd noise."

Next time you go to a Celtics game, listen closely and make up your own mind!
