BOSTON (WHDH) -- The Boston Bruins are looking to extend their home dominance against a struggling Buffalo Sabres team on Thursday.

The Bruins are 4-0 at home, allowing just a single goal in three of those four games. The Sabres come to Boston riding a four-game losing streak.

Tyler Seguin helped the Bruins celebrate a win over the New Jersey Devils Tuesday night and on Thursday he’s hoping the B’s can help him celebrate his 21st birthday in style.

“It’s one step closer to 30, I guess I gotta find a girlfriend soon or something, settle down, I don’t know…Just kidding,” said Seguin.

The Bruins leading goal scorer a year ago has some serious skill and game-breaking ability, but hasn’t put it all together yet this season.

“Maybe I scored too much in Switzerland, I don’t know. I know it’s going to come eventually,” said Seguin.

Seguin is certainly capable of providing knockout punches on the scoreboard, but Thursday’s game against the Sabres could be defined by actual knockout punches.

After beating up on Buffalo with the gloves on -- and off -- last season, the Sabres are making an effort to get tougher.

The Sabres were knocked out by the Bruins in last year’s season series, but by acquiring 6-foot-8-inch John Scott and Steve Ott, Buffalo adding a bit more pugilistic power.

“We’ve played our style of game forever and we don’t plan on changing that, so there’s nothing as far as we’re concerned is something we’d be worried about,” said Bruins coach Claude Julien.

When it comes to toughness, the Bruins are never at a disadvantage.
