Masked suspects robs pizza shop with shotgun
PHILADELPHIA (NBC) -- “I’ve got nothing to lose!”
Those were the chilling words of a masked robber armed with a shotgun, according to one of the pizza shop workers he’s accused of holding hostage.
It happened last Thursday night at Point Pizza in the Feltonville section of the city.
An employee told NBC10 the armed man came into the shop around 11:30 p.m. and held them captive for 20 minutes. Police say the armed robber first stole from the register before turning his attention to the employees. He forced all of the employees, including teens who were washing the dishes, into a small room in the basement and made them empty their pockets, according to investigators.
“He was just threatening everyone,” said one of the workers. “He said, ‘If anyone does anything, you’ll be the one who’s dead.’”
The worker told NBC10 the suspect was yelling the whole time and didn’t seem to mind if other workers interrupted the robbery. Surveillance cameras rolled as a delivery driver showed up for pizzas to deliver and came face to face with the gunman. Police say the suspect forced him outside into his car and stole the little amount of cash he had.
Police are currently analyzing surveillance video of the robbery. If you have any information on this incident, please call police.
