Cleanup underway in Mass. in wake of Sandy
ACTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Hurricane Sandy paved a path of destruction as she moved through Massachusetts, downing trees and power lines. On Tuesday, the cleanup was well underway.
Sandy uprooted trees and stripped fall of its foliage. The hurricane blew through and left her mark behind.
An Acton man filled Sandy ripping roots of a tree out of the ground. The tree crashed into the family’s front yard, luckily missing the house.
A few blocks away a tree toppled over and landed on a neighbor’s property, but again missed a family’s home.
Six utility poles snapped in Littleton. There are road blocks in Waltham. Crews are crisscrossing Concord. Numerous families are without power.
