CHARLTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- A driver lost control of her car and crashed into a Charlton house Friday evening.

The owner of the building boarded up a hole Friday night that used to be a bay window. He says it all started as an accident Sturbridge Road.

“Was going to do a U-turn, but didn’t stop before she got back into traffic, pulled out and a young girl hit her in the side and spun her around and then accelerated and went straight through the building and almost out the back,” said Dennis Tucker, building owner.

Police say two people had to be taken to the hospital.

The building owner says both women driving the two cars in the accident were the ones taken away.

The office space downstairs was vacant and the lady in the upstairs apartment wasn't hurt.

The driver who drove through the building was an elderly female.

The crash is under investigation.
