SUTTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- A hiker fell to his death at Purgatory Chasm in Sutton on Wednesday.
Investigators say a man in his mid 40s fell 80 feet to his death near a place called "Fat Man's Misery" -- one of the highest points in Purgatory -- a rocky and very steep area. They believe the man was by himself when he fell.
Police quickly roped off the entire area and began investigating. They also spent a long time searching what was believed to be the hiker’s car.
The District Attorney was reportedly looking into the case, but no details on the investigation have been released.
