ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- State police said wires sagged onto I-95 in Attleboro Thursday as a result of a structural issue with a utility pole.

Two tractor trailers hit the wires Friday afternoon. One driver was shocked and remains hospitalized. The other driver was not hurt.

Four other vehicles were damaged in the accident.

Police shut down both sides of the highway for hours, which led to huge traffic jams.

Work to restore the lines begins Sunday morning around exits 4 and 5 on I-95 in Attleboro. The Department of Transportation said drivers can expect partial lane closures and delays during that time.

Work on the road should be finished by 2 p.m.
