FALL RIVER, Mass. (WHDH) -- All across the area there were reports of flooded streets and parking lots after Wednesday morning’s downpours.

Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River was hit especially hard -- crews had to sandbag the emergency room because water started rushing in. The hospital quickly moved five patients to an upstairs floor and diverted ambulances to another hospital.

This was the second time in a week that rain caused the ER to flood. The hospital said there is a drainage issue on the street.

A hospital spokeswoman told 7News they will continue to work with the city of Fall River to address the drainage issue.
