Car crashes through the store front of Quebrada bakery

WELLESLEY, Mass. (WHDH) -- Customers at a local bakery got quite a jolt Sunday morning when a car crashed right through the front window.
“It looked like it just crashed right through. People were freaking out,” said one customer.
Around 10:00 in the morning, a car pulling into a parking spot, jumped the curb in Wellesley Plaza and lurched through the store front. Ten different people called 911 within two minutes. Police said there was screaming in the background of the calls. When they arrived, they found a seating section had been wiped out along with an industrial refrigerator.
“There was like a big bang. Kind of scary.”
Regular customers said given the setup inside, it's hard to belief no one was seriously hurt.
“People sit at the window and drink coffee and read the paper and stuff, and then there's display cases, refrigerated against that wall, and then tables along the side wall all the way to the back,” explained one woman.
Two ambulances were called to check on customers, and the driver, finding only two minor injuries. Investigators are still trying to figure out what was happening behind the wheel before that car crashed right through Quebrada Bakery.
“It was very dramatic.”
Just before the car went crashing through this wall, police and an ambulance had been at the bakery helping a customer who was having a medical problem.
