CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) -- Cranston police plan to question a 31-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found inside a garage last week.

Police say James Adams was taken into custody Tuesday on an unrelated assault charge.

Adams had been labeled a "person of interest" in the death of the woman, whose name has not been release.

Her body was found Friday in an unattached two-car garage on Farmington Avenue after neighbors reported a foul odor coming from the building.
