MILFORD, Mass. (WHDH) -- The D.A. has confirmed that 45-year-old man died of an apparent homicide.

Sunday morning a man notified police that a friend had died of a heroin over dose. When police arrived at the scene on Main Street, they determined there was a homicide.

“When the police got to the scene they noticed what can only be described as a tough scene. It wasn't an overdose, it was more than that,” said District Attorney Joseph Early.

The D.A. said the homicide is still under investigation. No one is in custody.
