West Haven mother charged with child endangerment
WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) -- Police say a woman whose toddler was found unattended on a street in West Haven has been charged with risk of injury to a child.
A neighbor called police after seeing a child without shoes on the street Wednesday evening.
The child was taken into the custody of the state Department of Children and Families and turned over to the child's father.
Authorities say the mother, 33-year-old Keishana Miller, was arrested after arriving later at police headquarters.
She was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
