TAUNTON, Mass. (WHDH) – A Taunton teacher was arrested by Seekonk police Tuesday after allegedly sexting three underage girls and having sex with one of them.

Patrick Doyle, 33, of Seekonk was held on $100,000 bail Wednesday after pleading not guilty to charges of aggravated statutory rape at his arraignment in Taunton District Court.

Prosecutors say Doyle sent lewd pictures of himself and saying inappropriate things to three teenage girls. One of the girls, 14, went to Doyle’s home in Seekonk and had sex with him at least three times.

The Superintendent of Taunton Public Schools released a statement saying, “Parents, caregivers, and the community were alerted of the issue. The safety of all students is the top priority. The school department also wants to acknowledge the responsible actions of the students who overheard the allegations and reported them to school resource officers.”

Doyle has been a Social Studies teacher at Taunton High School since 2006. He was put on leave earlier this month.
