WAREHAM, Mass. (AP) -- State police say a Brockton man drove the wrong way on Route 495 in Wareham, crashing head-on into another driver who was killed.
Phendy Pamphile was removed from his vehicle and hospitalized Saturday night with what police say was a serious leg injury. Police say they are investigating to determine what charges the 26-year-old Pamphile will face.
Christopher Elicier of Wareham was ejected from his vehicle by the impact of the crash. Wareham rescue workers declared him dead at the scene. Elicier was 43.
State police said neither driver wore a seatbelt.
