HALIFAX, Mass. -- A Halifax firefighter is facing serious charges in Plymouth District Court after being accused of exposing himself to a 14-year-old girl.

The teenage victim said Halifax Firefighter, Matthew Paris, hit on her, talked about sex and exposed himself more than once. The 14-year-old girl is a friend of Paris’ daughter.

She said that the incidents began about a year ago when she went over Paris’ home to see his daughter.

She claimed that at one time Paris had asked her if she wanted to see a picture of a puppy on his phone but instead, showed her a naked picture of himself.

The victim said last week she went to Paris’ home to see his daughter and Paris brought her upstairs, got undressed in the same room as the 14-year-old, then after putting his clothes back on, he allegedly picked up her by the waist and tried to kiss her.

In court Friday, the judge increased Paris’ bail to $10,000.

Supporters joined the Halifax firefighter in court but declined comment on their way out.

According to the Halifax Fire Department’s website Paris has worked with them since 1998.
