MILTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Sky7 HD was over a three-alarm house fire on Eliot Street, which started around 10:30 Wednesday morning where thick, white smoke was pouring out of the windows.

The fire chief said two people were rescued from inside the house. One person was hanging off the third floor when they arrived on scene. That man was alive and conscious.

Firefighters found a man on the second floor inside the house and they rescued him, as well. Both men were taken away alive, but there was no word on their condition.

“Heavy fire on two floors. That's always an uphill battle. If you look at the amount of fire that was there, these guys really did a tremendous job,” said Chief Jack Grant, Milton Fire Dept.

There is still no word on the cause of the fire.
