DUXBURY, Mass. (WHDH) -- Four days after the blizzard, the warmer weather is posing a much different challenge for homeowners on the South Shore.

Jim Bridges who lives in the Webster Island section of Duxbury right on the Marshfield line is trying to contain his frustration, unable to reach his flooded home that is still without power.

“Same as usual. Nothing. Nobody’s responded to pumping it out. The water’s up to the top of the fence and you can just see the tops of the mailbox,” said Bridges.

A home video during high tide at the height of the blizzard when a wall of water crashes over the seawall flooding out the neighborhood.

“I’m kinda aggravated because you know- especially if my pipes burst. I mean, if they’d done something before this that wouldn’t happen. That’s one less aggravation you gotta deal with,” said Bridges.

With the flooding freezing and not going anywhere fast, homeowners are fuming. There are power crews in the area, just not here.

“When we first called both towns they said they weren’t aware of the situation and they would come down and assess it. Well, here we are,” said Kim Bridges.

For Bridges who was rescued from his flooded house by firefighters, he just wants help.

“I’m looking first of all to get everything pumped out so we can have it back to normal again and I can pump out my basement,” said Bridges.

Many residents in the area are unable to get back in their homes. They are being told they may get power back on Thursday. Many have not been able to assess the damage in their homes and more snow is expected later this week.
