Police chase ends in rollover in Chelmsford
LOWELL, Mass. (WHDH) -- An early morning police chase ended with a rollover in Chelmsford. Investigators said the chase began in Lowell, when the driver refused to stop at a sobriety checkpoint.
The driver of that car is under arrest after the chase came to an end with the car crashing in an intersection.
Two people were in the car that flipped over after leading police on a 10 minute chase.
Investigators said the driver of that car went tearing through a sobriety check point in Lowell around 1:30 a.m. refusing to stop there for police.
Lowell police and state police followed the driver all the way to Chelmsford where the driver flipped his car. He was taken to a hospital, treated for injuries and released.
The passenger wasn't hurt in the crash. The 20-year-old driver, a Somerville man, now faces a slew of charges.
