REVERE, Mass. (AP) -- A man has suffered possible life-threatening injuries after being severely beaten and left in the parking lot of a liquor store and eatery.
State Police spokesman Dave Procopio says the man was found at about 5 p.m. Wednesday in the lot outside of Kappy's Liquors and Bill and Bob's Roast Beef on the Revere-Saugus border. He is being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital.
State police and officers from Revere and Saugus, along with K9 units and the State Police Air Wing, are searching for a suspect in wooded areas. Procopio says a man fled when Saugus police approached him to try and question him.
