Couple hikes from ME to Fla. for military families

BANGOR, Maine (NBC) -- A young couple raising money for a military charity by walking from Maine to Florida took a detour to Bangor International Airport Tuesday.
William Mosebach and Kristen Creech paused in their journey to join troop greeters at B.I.A. The couple started earlier this month in Calais and plan to walk the entire east coast down to Florida. Mosebach, a veteran himself, says the goal of their "Hike for Heroes" is to help military families.
Mosebach says after he was discharged he knew he wanted to do something but it was his girlfriend who found the right charity.
Kristen Creech said, "I posted on Facebook that I was looking for a great cause to help and a friend of mine posted a link right on my page and I went to it and it was perfect. It was, Hike for our Heros, and what they do is what we are doing. We Are hiking and we are doing it for our troops and our military families and our heros and it was just perfect. "
Mosebach said he had no idea how emotional the troop arrival was going to be for him. For more information about the hike you can click the link below.
