Hiker bitten by venomous snake on Mount Tom

MOUNT TOM, Mass. (WHDH) -- A hiker in Massachusetts is recovering after being bitten by a venomous snake over the weekend.
Holyoke police said the man was hiking on Mount Tom, near the Easthampton line, when he was bitten by a copperhead Saturday night.
The man killed the snake and put it in a bag for identification.
The hiker was treated at the hospital.
