2 arrested in connection with Lawrence shooting
LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) -- Police have arrested two people in connection with a fatal shooting on the streets of Lawrence.
Police say 22-year-old Stephanie Colemen and 27-year-old Christopher Ansara, both of Methuen, were arrested early Monday.
A spokeswoman for the Essex district attorney's office says they are facing a charge of being an accessory before the fact of murder. They are scheduled to be arraigned later Monday.
Authorities did not disclose their exact roles in the fatal shooting of Martin Butt of Lowell early Sunday afternoon.
Butt was shot in the head and chest after an apparent altercation with several other men.
Police tell The Eagle-Tribune a gun and spent shell casings were found near Butt.
