NORTH HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) -- The Friends of North Hampton Beach are welcoming volunteers for a beach cleanup this weekend.

During the cleanup Saturday, each piece of trash collected is recorded, and the data is used to implement local and state projects to lessen waste on the beaches.

Future cleanups will be held Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, and Dec. 15.
