Fire at NH apartment building displaces 80
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- A fire at in an apartment building has damaged 40 units and displaced about 80 residents.
Fire officials say the fire at 22 Country Club Drive about 8:30 a.m. Sunday caused fire and water damage to one third of the building. They say there was water and smoke damage throughout the remainder of the building. The structure has been ruled uninhabitable.
WMUR-TV reports that the blaze started on an exterior porch on the second floor and extended into the third floor and attic. A firewall kept the fire from spreading. Some firefighters suffered minor injuries.
