METHUEN, Mass. (WHDH) -- Two horses who suffered through filthy living conditions for months are now looking for a new home.

They recovered at the Methuen MSPCA. Sam and Stella are their names. They were rescued from a farm in central mass in March. Their owner had gone to prison and left the horses on the farm to fend for themselves without food or water. They were treated for skin and dental problems but now are doing great.

Sam and Stella are up for adoption. If you’re interested in adopting Sam or Stella, contact the MSPCA.
