Severe weather strikes western and central Vt.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) -- Two rounds of severe storms have struck parts of western and central Vermont, downing trees and power lines.
The second round of storms rolled through Burlington late Tuesday night. Widespread power outages affected traffic signals in the city for about an hour. Utility crews worked to restore power to homes and businesses
The storms also caused minor flooding in other parts of Chittenden County.
Earlier in the evening, the first round of severe weather brought gusty winds and pounding rains.
Lightning strikes were seen over Lake Champlain, downtown Burlington and in the Hill Section neighborhood of the city.
Authorities reported downed trees in Shelburne and southern Chittenden County.
The Burlington Free Press said there were no reports of any injuries because of the storms.
