PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) -- Construction on the new Memorial Bridge connecting New Hampshire and Maine is right on schedule.

Archer Western, the main contractor working on the construction, says all of the new foundations are expected to be completed in September.

The firm continues monitoring vibration noise levels in Portsmouth and Kittery, Maine. They have remained at satisfactory levels.

The new bridge is expected to be completed by July 2013. The old Memorial Bridge connected the two communities for nearly 90 years.
