Past problems revealed about Chism's family life
BOSTON (WHDH) -- New details were released Thursday about past problems in Philip Chism’s life.
In 2001, Chism's mother accused her husband of adultery in the complaint she filed for separation. A court document cited physical abuse, sexual abuse, or a pattern of emotional abuse as the reason for the restriction.
The document doesn't specify who was abused, but the father's time with his two children was restricted.
Chism recently moved to Danvers from Tennessee, and his former soccer coach says he didn't see any unusual behavior.
“He was kind of quiet. Got along well with the other kids, he played and enjoyed the game but he didn't cause any trouble. Not at the practice not at the games,” Chism’s former soccer coach said.
A friend of the family opened up about a conversation she had with Philip's mother last week.
The woman told NBC News, Philip's mother told her they were doing well in Danvers and that Philip was doing well in math, a subject he had trouble with in the past.
