NH school nurse hailed as life saver
SALEM, N.H. (WHDH) -- A New Hampshire school nurse is being hailed as a life saver.
Tara Hayes was working at a school in Salem when a custodian suddenly went into cardiac arrest.
Hayes jumped into action, calling for help, and using the school's defibrillator.
She says the second shock brought him back to life.
“I really was thinking, ‘Please, just don’t die on me.’ I think I probably said that. Just scary. Trying to do right thing, trying to get him back to life,” said Hayes.
Hayes said the man has since thanked her for her life-saving actions.
