Patriots fans show team spirit at tailgate

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WHDH) -- Pats showed up sporting a lot of spirit at the AFC championship on a gusty day at Gillette Stadium.

That may be great for the flags but not so much for the fires or tents that are part of the parking lot fun.

"I think we've got it rigged up pretty good here."

"I just want to stay warm so I hope it works."

There's also been a lot of tailgate speculation on how the wind may affect the game.

“I think the wind this strong is going to affect Tom Brady a little bit. I mean we were just throwing the ball. Just throwing it 15 yards felt like 40,” said David Ritchie.

“That will make it for Joe Downtown Flacco and his homerun ball provide some problems, but Tommy should be OK with the underneath game, so it’s going to be an incredible day,” said Chris Darcy.

People grilled up burgers, sausage and shrimp but check out this guy grilling up pizza on a special brick oven.

"You have to turn it the right way, away from the wind. Besides that, it works,” said Guy Fordera.

The final windy challenge is keeping all that food hot, first bite to last.

With full bellies, fans headed into the game excited to cheer on the team!
