UNDATED (WHDH) -- A former Newton teacher has been sentenced by a U.S. district judge to 45 years in prison for sharing child pornography and for sexual abuse of three girls.

David Ettlinger had pleaded guilty to several charges in August.

He had been a teacher at Newton Elementary for 12 years.
