Tree uproots, crashes onto roof in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- A tree came crashing down onto a couple’s home in Arlington.
Gonelle Kosnisky was just putting her 4-month-old baby girl down for a nap when she said the whole house shook.
“My initial reaction was huddle over her and keep her safe. We just got the heck out of that nursery as fast as possible,” said Gonelle Kosnisky.
“Heard the huge crash and sounded like thunder or another earthquake. So I ran up frantically,” said Matt Kosnisky.
A tree was completely uprooted in front of their house and crashed down onto the roof above the couple’s bedroom. It was just inches away from their window.
“It’s kind of resting against the house right now as opposed to through the roof. It sounded like it was coming through,” Gonelle Kosnisky said.
Their baby slept through the whole ordeal.
“It’s a miracle, really,” said Matt Kosnisky.
