Piglet rescued off the side of I-495 in Bolton

BOLTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- A piglet was rescued off the side of Interstate 495 South in Bolton Thursday.
The Animal Rescue League of Boston assisted local police in the rescue.
“They did try to feed the animal into a crate but it didn’t seem to work out for them very well,” said Mark Vogel, Animal Rescue League of Boston.
The piglet was spotted grazing not far from the breakdown lane. Drivers reported seeing her in the same area three days ago -- and a week before that.
But her days of roaming free came to end Thursday morning when the rescue team cornered her near a fence.
“It was on a hill that actually went into a little gully so it kind of worked in our favor because the animal did not seem to want to go back up the hill,” said Vogel.
The piglet is in decent health, just a little thin.
Now, they're looking for her owner. If they can't find one, she's going on the "adoption" block.
