LEXINGTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- A fire in Lexington was contained, and an elderly woman was safe thanks to a quick response by fire crews.

They were able to get there fast enough to contain the flames to just one room.

They also pulled a woman to safety from the back of the house.

"We got here, we found an elderly female at the back of the house, trying to regain... She had gone back in. She was stumbling down by the back door. So we got her out, brought her down,” said Capt. Derek Sencabaegh of the Lexington Fire Department.

It's still not clear what caused the fire.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital, but he was okay.
