NEWTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- She’s a superstar gymnast who has style: Aly Raisman was pictured showing off her ruby, diamond and sapphire earrings that were a gift from a family friend and jeweler.

The Newton jewelers are now gearing up to make the Olympic studs for the whole team.

“We got a phone call today that they won gold. I was thrilled, I was excited, and I’m more than happy to give each one of the girls their own earrings,” said Anto Aboyan.

“Aly was the only one wearing them in the competition, I think they all deserve it,”

Jewelry makers Veronica Sagherian and Anto Aboyan gave the earrings to Aly before she left for London.

“She hasn’t taken them off. We did not expect that,” said Sagherian. “She actually tugged on them as she was about to do one of her competitions.”

It was all eyes on Aly Sunday night.

“I noticed the earrings, but as she’s doing her exercises you forget about the earrings,” said Aboyan.

Aly even wore the earrings when she graced the cover of Sports Illustrated with her fellow teammates.
