FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) -- Framingham police are searching for a suspect after a late night shooting Sunday.

It happened around 9 p.m. on Beaver Street.

Initial police reports indicated that the shooter fled the scene in a silver Dodge.

Neighbors are now on edge.

"I think this is scary because I live over here and you hear things and it's scary,” neighbor Rita Taste said. “You're not safe in the place."

A source says the victim had a gunshot wound to the upper back. That person was taken to the hospital by helicopter, but officials haven't commented on the extent of the injuries.
