Weston celebrates 300th anniversary with snowmen

WESTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- To celebrate the town of Weston’s 300th anniversary, families with the Weston Children Community Association decided to build 300 snowmen.
"We've got carrot noses and button eyes and sticks for arms and now we’re going to drive past the town green and admire them each day,” said Kate Whitworth, a parent.
The rules are simple: make the snowman no taller than your kids.
"We had some plastic surgery to do. One of our little snowballs fell apart and we had to work on that,” another parent said.
"My grandparents grew up in Weston, my parents are still here. It's a town people come back to,” said Caroline Balz, a parent
Parents and children made over 200 snowmen, but a lot of them were knocked over.
