YARMOUTH, Mass. (AP) -- Police say a former employee of a Cape Cod pharmacy has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars' worth of prescription medications from the business.

Police say 27-year-old Nicole Morrison of Barnstable pleaded not guilty Monday to larceny of drugs for allegedly stealing $3,500 worth of drugs from a CVS in Yarmouth.

Morrison was arrested by local police on Saturday afternoon following an investigation by CVS security.

She has been fired.
