Holocaust Remembrance Day observed

BOSTON – Sunday marked Holocaust Remembrance Day as Jews around the world remembered the six million lives lost during the holocaust.
In Boston, survivors congregated at temple Israel as part of their "Silenced Voices" program.
The event featured a concert and candle lighting.
Organizers aim to preserve art created at concentration camps.
Gov. Deval Patrick released this statement about the event saying:
"Today, on Yom Hashoah, we remember the millions lost during the holocaust and the courage of those who persevered in the face of unthinkable adversity.
Let us honor their memory by respecting the dignity of all people and never forgetting the sacrifice of those lost."
