BOSTON (WHDH) -- Two men who police believe are connected with a recent stabbing and armed robbery near Boston University were arraigned on Friday.

Wallace Vick, 19, and Shaqone Cazeau, 20, are charged with armed robbery of a30-year-old BU researcher on Tuesday night. The suspects were taken into custody on Thursday night.

Police said the two suspects stabbed and punched the victim and took his iPad and bag.

Police said they tracked the two suspects down when they used the victim’s stolen credit card at an MBTA station. The suspects were photographed when they purchased Charlie cards, according to police.

Those photos were shown to a probation officer who recognized them.

The incident was the latest in a string of recent armed robberies in the Brookline neighborhood since last fall, prompting police and BU officials to urge caution.

The victim is recovering.
