BOSTON (WHDH) -- Officials responded to a chemical spill at Boston University just before 12 p.m. Tuesday.

Boston fire officials said the spill happened in a lab on the seventh floor of the BU Life Science and Engineering building.

The entire 12-story building was evacuated.

Boston fire said the spill was confined to just one lab.

There were no reports of injuries.

Environmental cleanup crews were called to the scene.
