BOSTON (WHDH) -- A 40-foot mobile home slammed into several parked cars after the driver attempted to drive down a narrow street in the North End.

The large RV scraped buildings and smashed at least four cars.

Store clerk Arjun K.C. snapped pictures after a customer ran in and told him about the chaotic scene.

“The street is so tiny and he tried to back it up and boom, he hit the car and the wall,” said K.C.

The driver was coming out of a side street and had to turn right on Salem Street, and then left on the next side street -- not an easy move in a 40-foot vehicle. That's why he scraped the side of this building and then smashed into a car over there when he tried to back up.

In security camera video looking down Salem Street, the RV can be seen fighting North End streets that locals know are no place for a mobile home.

“We have small streets here, so it doesn’t seem explainable to me that they would want to make that turn,” said one man.

Store clerk K.C. says the driver didn't seem too upset about his predicament.

“He was talking to the cops in a cool way,” K.C. said.

Police say the driver didn't appear drunk so he wasn't ticketed, but he will likely contact his insurance company about the damage he caused.
