BOSTON (WHDH) -- E-Z Pass and cash-only tolls will now be in separate lanes on the Tobin Bridge.

Some lanes used to accept both forms of payment but now that's changed.

The State Department of Transportation said this will ease the flow of traffic and be safer.

More than half of all drivers on the Tobin use an E-Z Pass to pay the toll.
