EAST BOSTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Columbus Day festivities started early in East Boston.

The city held its annual parade on Sunday complete with marching bands and the visiting Mummers Band from Philadelphia.

The two contenders for the U.S. Massachusetts Senate seat, Senator Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren marched in the parade as well.
