BOSTON (WHDH) -- Boston University Police stepped up patrols around Brookline following a second armed robbery near campus in three days.

Police said three young men robbed three Boston University students at gunpoint around 5 o'clock Tuesday at Egmont and Saint Paul Streets.

The suspects made off with a backpack.

The report came after two students were mugged at gunpoint early Sunday morning as well.
