Four prisoners plead not-guilty to stabbing officer
SHIRLEY, Mass. (WHDH) -- Four prisoners at a correctional center in Shirley pleaded not guilty in connection with stabbing an officer and causing chaos that sent six others to the hospital.
The officer at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center was stabbed in the neck with a knife made in the prison.
It just missed the officer's spinal cord.
He is now recovering.
Investigators said the other six officers ran to help and were also hurt.
They are okay.
The inmates will be back in court next month.
