MSP investigating serious crash on Rte. 3 in Braintree

BOSTON (WHDH) -- The following is a release from the Massachusetts State Police.
State Police Investigating Serious Crash on Route 3 in Braintree
Today at 7:15 p.m., Troopers from the State Police Barracks in Milton responded to reports of a single motor vehicle crash on the northbound side of Route 3 in Braintree. At the time of the crash there were five occupants in the vehicle including the operator. All five occupants sustained injuries. The operator’s injuries appeared serious. All occupants were transported to the hospital. Two were transported to South Shore Hospital and the remaining three to include the operator were transported the Boston Medical Center. It is unknown at this time what caused the single vehicle crash.
The facts and circumstances of this crash remain under investigation by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, Troopers from the Milton Barracks, Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Service Section, H – Trooper Community Action Team, Braintree Police Department, Braintree Fire and EMS.
