BOSTON (AP) -- The National Weather Service has discontinued severe weather watches for Massachusetts but says there could be more rain Friday.

Storms that brought damage in New York Thursday afternoon and led to a tornado watch for Berkshire County and a severe thunderstorm watch for other parts of western Massachusetts stayed to the south.

A flash flood watch for eastern Massachusetts also was discontinued late Thursday as heavy rains didn't develop.

The National Weather Service said a warm front stalled across the area is expected to continue triggering rain and thunderstorms into Friday.
